Snapshot

Chihuahua

Snapshots allows a new node to join the network by recovering application state from a backup file. Snapshot contains compressed copy of chain data directory. To keep backup files as small as plausible, snapshot server is periodically beeing state-synced.

Snapshots are taken automatically every 12 hours

One liner to get moving quickly

rm -rf $HOME/.chihuahuad/data
curl -L https://snapshots.lavenderfive.com/snapshots/chihuahua/chihuahua_15531427.tar.zst | tar -axf - -C $HOME/.chihuahuad
mv $HOME/.chihuahuad/priv_validator_state.json.backup $HOME/.chihuahuad/data/priv_validator_state.json

Stop chihuahuad and reset the data

sudo systemctl stop chihuahuad
cp $HOME/.chihuahuad/data/priv_validator_state.json $HOME/.chihuahuad/priv_validator_state.json.backup
rm -rf $HOME/.chihuahuad/data

Download latest snapshot

mv $HOME/.chihuahuad/priv_validator_state.json.backup $HOME/.chihuahuad/data/priv_validator_state.json

Restart chihuahuad and check the log
