Artela Network

Snapshots allows a new node to join the network by recovering application state from a backup file. Snapshot contains compressed copy of chain data directory. To keep backup files as small as plausible, snapshot server is periodically beeing state-synced.

Snapshots are taken automatically every 12 hours

One liner to get moving quickly

sudo systemctl stop artelad
cp .artelad/data/priv_validator_state.json .artelad/priv_validator_state.json.backup
rm -rf .artelad/data
curl -L https://snapshots.lavenderfive.com/testnet-snapshots/artela/artela_11945805.tar.lz4 | tar -Ilz4 -xf - -C .artelad
mv .artelad/priv_validator_state.json.backup .artelad/data/priv_validator_state.json
sudo systemctl start artelad && sudo journalctl -u artelad -f --no-hostname -o cat

Stop artelad and reset the data

sudo systemctl stop artelad
cp .artelad/data/priv_validator_state.json .artelad/priv_validator_state.json.backup
rm -rf .artelad/data

Download latest snapshot

mv .artelad/priv_validator_state.json.backup .artelad/data/priv_validator_state.json

Restart artelad and check the log
